[Woodworkers] Any recommendations for a router?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Doing a bit more searching I’m wrong on my PC model number. Don’t want to put misinformation out there. I haven’t kept up with the changing tool manufacturer landscape. Mergers and buyouts can really change the quality/reputation of a tool maker.
I looked at the Bosch and Makita. I think it will come down to one or the other.
It appears Freud stopped making routers, can’t find anything on their site even. I’ll give Triton and Dewalt another look.
I intend to mount it in a table and a plus on the Bosch it sounds like I could easily pull it out and use it handheld with the plunge base. I have a few door panel bits that might get used briefly once a year. Would be nice to have that capability with adequate hp.
Most of my woodworking in recent years has been of the remodeling variety. I did recently complete a bank of cabinets/shelving with a Murphy bed unit. That and a bathroom addition were the last things on our 20 year quest to remodel/alter every room in our house. Just in time as my wife is using the room as she works from home. I’ve been itching to get into the shop and do smaller craftsman projects now that remodeling is complete. Lathe projects or decorative boxes or a guitar or something with steam-bending. Anything that doesn’t involve framing or tiling.

I second the vote for Bosch. I have a small commercial cabinet shop and that’s what I use. I use both the fixed base and plunge. They have the micro adjustment dial that works well and is a nice feature. Good luck in your future purchase.
PS. Glad to see the group is still around as I haven’t seen any posts in quite a long time.

Hello all.
Ten years or so ago I bought a Porter Cable 7518 (I think) router. It wasn’t top of the line, but they weren’t giving it away either. Worked well in a table, 1/2”, variable speed adjustment. I was pleased with it. Then it failed after not that much use. Later learned it was a defective control board which apparently P-C didn’t make available or not for very long. Life happened and I haven’t done much routering for a long time.
I am now in the market for a new router. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Clint
