[Woodworkers] A really woodworking question

MDF is definitely too heavy for that size door with today's hinges.

When I was growing up, we lived in a house built in 1902. The kitchen
pantry had doors that tall and wide. Frame and style, but I'm pretty sure
the panel was a solid wood glue up. Huge hinges, though,  probably full
size door hinges.
