[Woodworkers] ebony pegs

I am making a picture frame and I want to use some faux ebony pegs in the
corners (like in the picture below). I will  shape the pyramid on the end of
a ½” x ½” ebony and then cut it to length and then form the next pyramid.
But I’m not sure how to cut the pyramid. Just sand it? Cut it on the router
table? Bandsaw? Tablesaw?
