Clint I still have my first large Makita router as well as PC 690, Triton 3 HP a Hitachi variable speed and a Bosch, and a Dewalt trim router with both a fixed and plunge base. . Both the Hitachi and Bosch are PC 690 style routers. The Bosch was a gift and I haven't used it. I will say I have the Hitachi in my router table for everyday use and I love the variable speed function.
There are a lot of choices out there so good luck

Worked well in a table, 1/2”, variable speed adjustment. I was pleased with it.  Then it failed after not that much use. Later learned it was a defective control board which apparently P-C didn’t make available or not for very long. Life happened and I haven’t done much routering for a long time.   I am now in the market for a new router.  Does anyone have any recommendations?    Thanks,Clint    Sent from Mail for Windows 10   _______________________________________________
