[Woodworkers] Outdoor Bench

OK folks, I need some help with a project for a couple of outdoor benches. We have had a set that included 2 benches and 2 chairs that we made in Indonesia out of Mahogany, probably 15 years ago. Well my wife sat down on one of the benches a couple of Sundays ago and POOF she went right through. Needless to say, she was not a happy camper. I looked at it about a month or so ago, and noticed the seat looked a little shaky, but obviously forgot to say anything to her.

She tells me they need to go, but I say, they aren't in that bad of shape and I can fix it so its just like new. So she's out sweeping the patio Sunday and again tells me to take the things to the dump. But NO, I say, I'll fix them. So shes says well I'm sweeping and I need them off the patio. I picked the broken one up and moved it down to the parking area in front of the garage / shop and she says don't even thing about leaving it there, because I'm sweeping that next. Then she ask me, am I going to have to remind you in a year that you said you could fix it, because I have a great memory and I'll remember this conversation. After the whirlwind of sweeping subsides, I take a close look at it and I must admit, its in pretty rough shape. Of course I say to myself I'll just make a new set and surprise her.

Does anyone have plans for some nice patio benches and chairs? I'll probably make them out of quatersawn White oak or Mahogany

Thanks,
