Even their so called “select” stuff is junk. I assume that they must buy regionally since it is usually from one of the local (Washington & Oregon) mills. The longer you leave the steel wool in the vinegar the great the impact. It’s pretty simple so I made one. It works pretty good. I did it mainly to texture pine to make it look weathered. I bought a barn wood stain which is a gray much like teak would gray. I’m not real fond of that gray look and may add a brown over it. I’m going to play with the finish to get it to look like I want it.
