The stuff would fill the voids binding things together and offer a great design element. Problem is the stuff is not cheap, there is a bit of a learning curve with it and ultimately it really takes 2 guys to work it. Then it has to be sanded down which takes a bit of patience, and a fair amount of sandpaper. Even with that I think it is the perfect solution. If you want more info let me know and I’ll try to write things up and I’ll get you the info on the product which is at home.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>In the meantime as others have responded and I have read their responses I had a bit of an epiphany. David Higgins response triggered it. We frequent a local sports bar of sorts and all of the tables in the place have an epoxy top over sporting tickets. Thinking about it food and drink are spilled all over the tables, they are cleaned multiple times per day, and in the end they really don’t look bad at all. In the big scheme I’m thinking that it might be the simplest solution. They found this at the Brass Armadillo and as you can see, it is in less than stellar condition. I had to remove the top coat so my buddy could run the top through the big timesaver sander where he works. Naturally I had to strip the front if I ever hoped to make them match. This is a homemade piece and I’m sure the guy/girl put a lot of time into making it but unfortunately just wasn’t quite there when it came to wood choices. I have many large cracks I need to deal with. He/she even put bondo in one section. Before I saw how bad the cracks were I had thought of using epoxy and India ink to fill the gaps.
