I always find it amazing how things transpire. Joe's birthday still pops up on my calendar (April 28th) and I thought "you know I need to wake the group up and get some sort of conversation going". Did I do it? NO ☹
Now this email comes along and my first thought is "NOOOO" we need to keep it going. Yet, when was the last time an email went out to the group? (looks like spring of 2025?) I think I did one a few years ago looking for help sourcing some plans for wooden trucks. Did I ever follow up with what I found and did?
Then Smitty responds with some very wise words that I suspect covers all our thoughts. Tough act to follow that one.....
Even so with that I am all in if a solution can be found.
I will also offer to see what I can do to help out financially with the hosting costs if needed.

Subject: [Woodworkers] ADMIN - Mailing List Potential Shutdown
Importance: High
All,
It is with considerable sadness that I write this message. Several years back when Jason was no longer able to host mailing lists, Joe and I moved the list to an account that I have with a company called DreamHost. When Joe passed, I was happy to keep the list running on that account, and Steve Bigelow has been kind enough to keep the lights on for the sawdusters.org domain. Unfortunately, DreamHost has notified me that they are shutting down all of their mailing list facilities on July
21 of this year. Unless we can find an alternative means of running this list before that date, it will unfortunately be shut down.
Although traffic has been very light on the list, I know there is a lot of history here, and I would really hate to see people lose touch.
Please reply back if there is interest in continuing the list and I will explore some alternative homes.
Thanks,
Frank
