[Woodworkers] Dust collection upgrade

Yep, still around. You can go to Amazon or x10.com, but the price has
really gone up. I think the last few times my purchases were from ebay.
When I first started using X10 it was back in 1998. It was the easiest
solution for my 240V dust collector at the time, and also the cheapest. I
bought some combo pack from X10.com for about $50, and it came with 8 or so
remotes, along with a receiver, some switches, some controlled outlets,
etc. It also came with a computer interface that worked with Win95 and some
universal remotes that could control your TV plus lights. My wife didn't
like having the lights on a remote, so I ditched that idea.
I've been running X10 on my shop vacs and dust collector ever since. I've
got a remote at each power tool station, plus a "floater". I've had to
replace the dust collector outlet once, and one of the shop vac outlets
once.
The parts are getting harder to find at a decent price. I've still got 3-4
of the lamp modules that I never use, and a couple replacement remotes.
Regards,
-Steve
