Sighhhhhh...... Where's Joe when we need him, he would analyze this to the enth degree, with all kinds of cool words :) :(

I've never really delved into the whole cutting board oil subject but I'm with you what is missing with the Wally World stuff? This reminds me of a product that we used to strip paint on models back in the 90's that was sold as user friendly no harmful stuff etc. As I recall it was over $10.00 but under $20.00 for a half pint(?) bottle. Turns out it was nothing more than Fantastik cleaner or at least Fantastik would do the same thing for a whole lot less.
I will run this past my daughter the scientist and see what she has to say :)

So I hate to reply to my own email but as I looked closer at the cutting board oils, some say enriched with vitamin E. Have to research that more.

The products that are marketed as cutting board oil also market themselves as "Food Grade Mineral Oil". But the truth is, a $2 bottle of Walmart mineral oil is equal to a $16 bottle of Cutting Board Oil that is pure mineral oil, correct? I mean, it has to be, because WM markets their mineral oil as a laxative. If that isn't food grade, I don't know what is. Am I missing something?
