[Woodworkers] Planer Question.

T9 (Boeshield made by Boeing) is used on TS gears. It’s a dry lube so sawdust won’t accumulate on it.

The manual doesn't say anything about greasing the gears. I would probably apply some grease just to the gears and I think it will transfer to the chain.

 

I would be careful so as to not so much grease on the gears that they pickup a lot of sawdust.

Doing a clean and minor over haul on my Delta 12 1/2 planer.. It had grease on the drive gears that I've cleaned off and will replace. What about the drive chain? Should it be greased or should I use some oil.? Thanks
