I, too, think of him often. His humor, his laugh, that damn pencil stuck in his hat pointing down in front of his ear, his "directing" me while he shot video of the construction progress of The Twisted Knot Woodshop. A genuinely kind man who always lent a hand and never failed to bring a smile...

Today marks the 5th anniversary of Joe’s passing.  I think I mentioned before that I put a forever reminder in my calendar to remind me of him and know how long it had been.  At the time I did it as a way to not forget him as more time passed.  Funny thing is to this point that has not been an issue, as I think of him often.  There are more than a few what would Joe do moments in my head.  Then of course having a memento of something from my past (long before I met Joe) that I got from Joe is prominently displayed in my shop.  So I get a reminder of two great people that I have known in my life every time I am in my shop.
 
  
 
Lets all raise a toast to Joe today and wonder what kind of craziness he would have entertained us with.
