[Woodworkers] Resin Table

Hi Chuck,  I have found that resin sands without clogging if I give the resin more time to cure.  In other words the difference between a day of cure me two days of cure.  Waxed paper makes a great release.  I have always found resin is not hard on sharp tools unless the resin has  a filler added to it.  I have also found wet sanding above 300 grit is effective as is automotive rubbing compounds for the finial polish.

The top wasn’t totally level but I could use wedges to level, then route. The underside of the top has a good 1/8” to 3/16” of resin and I’d like to take that down to the wood. One YouTube video said they liked Micro Mesh sanding pads because they are porous and vacuum easily but that would be a lot of sanding to remove 1/8” or more.
