[Woodworkers] Power Carving

I turn reproduction French bread/cheese boards and carve flowers around the outside edges.
For the sake of reference this one is approximately 15" in diameter.
The background is lowered thereby allowing me to raise the leaves.
I'm thinking of trying some sort of power carving device and I am wondering if anyone has done any power carving? If so, what do you use?
I've also thought about the possibility of using a wood-burning set to accomplish this, but I don't think it would have the same depth of detail.
I've got a little Dremel rotary tool but I am not sure that will be sufficient to do what I want to accomplish.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary Williams
