[Woodworkers] Composite roof replacement

Hi Steve, shingles are normally good for twenty years or better so I'd check the warranty first.

Here in Michigan we can put on up to three layers before we need to tear off due to weight, however tearing off gives you a chance to inspect but then you have to dispose of the old materials. 

No tar paper if going over the existing, but do check all your flashing and vents.
