I know that a bunch of us that left, "The Oak" some 20 yrs. ago for a different pasture, Woodworkers, will certainly miss Joe and all of his looks on life. He has, as David says, been the heart and soul of this group. I hope that we will all continue grazing here and on the chat room to carry on in the same spirit. See ya Joe!

I called Joe a couple weeks ago and we had a good conversation. I don't feel that it is my place to pass on any of the medical stuff he shared with me but I hope it is OK if I tell everyone this. 

He sounded like he was tired but I think he is on the road to recovery albeit a bit slow. His attitude is good, and he is working on a plan to get back in his shop. 

I think that all we can do is to continue to hope for the best and say a prayer or two for him.
