You can get electronic door openers with controls like a garage door opener.  Keep the remote with the wheelchair and open and close at will.

Anyone know of a mechanism that is designed to hold a screen door open, but can be released from inside the house while setting in a wheel-chair?
I am about to build a 6 inch high deck with a wheel-chair ramp, on my concrete porch. But the screen door, which has no screen, but does have plate glass in it, with a 2 1/2 inch frame all around the glass is the problem. especially upon re-entering the house from the deck.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
