[Woodworkers] Lathe Bearing Help

Hey Guys
 
I'm rebuilding a couple of Delta 1460 lathes and need some bearing help.  
Two of them have New Departure  C88505 bearings. I haven't gotten the other  
three apart, but I am assuming they have the same bearings. I have heard 
that  you can soak them in Kerosene and get them working just like new. Has  
anyone tried this?
 
I know Joe has a favorite bearing company, so maybe he can chime in with  
his knowledge and wisdom.
