[Woodworkers] A really woodworking question

A 54" door isn't too big of a problem if the stock is milled correctly. I built several for the Priest Lake cabinet job I did several years ago that turned out pretty well. But, they were cope & stick type doors not nearly as heavy as one made form MDF...
And as for using MDF, I don't think I would recommend that for job either. Your right that it's a lot of weight.....
