Yeah, I was thinking about getting some hockey tape and wrap around the old handles. I have heard that hockey tape is some tuff stuff but have never used it.

Another project...just what I need.

Speaking of another project...I have a set of cabinet door to finish and get installed. Someone wanted solid oak slab doors that have the traditional lip on them...Hinges were not cheap, but they do make them.

Anywho after I get done with this I have one to make for the local Museum....get this..the "artist" apparently has a film that they want displayed and it has to be projected on a 10 foot tall, 36 foot long curved screen. I tried to give them as many other options that I could think of that would be a little more practical and maybe a little cheaper...but you know how that goes. Oh yeah, now they want it on casters so they can move it around..no problem.

I feel your pain. Nothing is ever easy. So many manufactures create units, and you have to order a unit whether you need it or not.

Some projects seem to take on a life of their own. Maybe you can just mold some new handles out of some type of liquid plastic or resin,

then get some rubber handle bar grips and put those on the new handles.

Better yet, maybe you can just put some handle bar grips on your old handles and then they will work better for you.
